Ollerton Methodist Church

Jesus loves you
Welcome
Welcome, and thank you for visiting Ollerton Methodist Church online. We hope that our website highlights the wide variety of worship, fellowship and service opportunities available. Please feel free to read more about our church on this site, or come in for a visit. We would love to greet you and share with you our love for Jesus Christ and for you, our neighbor.
This is our Mission Statement
We believe that the door to salvation is always open and so are the doors of our Church.
Our mission is to be fully devoted to Jesus by opening our arms to those searching for truth.
We are committed to having varied, relevant and convenient worship, so that all can grow in faith and be encouraged to discern their gifts and be enabled and equipped to spread the good news of Jesus.
We aim to show God’s love by helping those in need in our community at every opportunity, and together with churches of other denominations, as well as Methodists, demonstrate care and compassion, following the example of Jesus.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I will be with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Weddings
Our church offers a traditional setting for your most sacred celebration. If you wish to marry in our Church please contact the Minister.

Services
Our services are fairly informal and you will be made welcome whether a local resident or visiting.
If you are unfamiliar with church services our Services page will give you an idea of what to expect.

Baptism
According to the Methodist Worship Book, baptism (or Christening) marks entry into the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, of which the Methodist Church is part. The Methodist Church, like most denominations of the Christian Church, administers the sacrament to both adults and young children.
You do not have to be a member of the church to have your child or yourself Baptised

Funerals
We are here for you in your time of need. You will have a time of comfort, prayer and planning with the Minister before the service. Members of the congregation will be available to assist at the service and if you wish with refreshments in the schoolroom afterwards

Other Events
We are currently reviewing our worship area and refurbishing. We have a new lectern, made by local craftsman Ian and a new projector. New banners have arrived and make a stunning backdrop to our worship area with the themes - LOVE JOY PEACE
